 Toddlers:

Jesus’ Triumphal Entry

Lesson: Matthew 21:1-9

• What did the people shout as Jesus came into Jerusalem? (Hosanna! Hosanna!)

Verse: “I will give thanks to the Lord” (Psalm 9:1)

• Write the verse out on a paper, say it together. Slowly cover up words of the verse, continue saying the verse until the verse is known by the child(ren). 

PreK-Kindergarten:

God Cared for an Enemy

Lesson: 2 Kings 5:1-15

• How can you show kindness to those who are not kind?

Verse: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son.’ (John 3:16)

• Write the verse out on a paper, say it together. Slowly cover up words of the verse, continue saying the verse until the verse is known by the child(ren). 

1st Grade Sunday School:

Jesus’ Lesson on Life and Death

Lesson: John 11:1-44

• What do you believe about Jesus?

Verse: John 11:25

• Create motions for the verse and practice together. 

Application: Talk with your child and talk about trusting in Jesus and Him being the only way to receive eternal life.

2nd-3rd Grade Sunday School:

Jesus Has Power Over Creation

Lesson: Matt. 14:22-33; Mark 4:25-41; Luke 5:1-11

• How did Jesus show His power over all creation in this week’s lesson?

Verse: Col. 1:16, 17

Theme: Jesus directs His creation to accomplish His will. 

Application: This lesson covered Jesus’ command over the wind, waves, and fish of the sea to accomplish His will. Help your child acknowledge that Jesus uses His creation to do His will.

4th-5th Grade Sunday School:

Surrender Control 

Lesson: John 14:16-18; Acts 3; 4

• Have you ever sensed that the Holy Spirit’s power was at work in your life?

Verse: Acts 1:8

Theme: God gave us the Spirit to help us obey Him. 

Application: John and Peter had extreme boldness in the face of severe threats provided an example of the Spirit’s power in the life of a believer. Challenge your child to be filled with the Spirit so they might see the fruit of the Spirit in their life.

Palm Sunday/Good Friday Lesson

Lesson: Matthew 21:1-11; 26:20-27:60 

Theme: Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem to celebrate Passover. 

Jesus’ death fulfilled Old Testament prophecy. 

• What is Palm Sunday/Good Friday?

Verse: Romans 4:25

• Write the verse on a notecard and hang somewhere visible to practice together daily.
