Toddlers:

Hannah Visits Samuel

Lesson: 1 Samuel 2:18-26

  • Who did Hannah go and visit? (Samuel)

  • What did she bring Samuel? (a new coat)

Verse: “We will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15)

  • Have your child draw a picture representing the verse and talk about it together.

Lesson: Daniel 6:1-11

  • Where did Daniel pray?

  • Who did Daniel put all his trust and faith in?

Application: Help your child understand that God loves when he or she obeys Him. 



2nd=3rd Grade Sunday School:

Jesus Offered Himself

Lesson: Matt. 21:1-16; Luke 19:39-44

  • How would you feel if your religious leaders got rich by cheating your family out of money?

  • Did Jesus’ actions in the Temple surprise you?

Verse: Luke 19:38

Theme: Jesus offers us true peace. 

Application: The week’s lesson covered Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem and His cleansing of the temple. Help your child know what it means for God’s peace to guard their heart. 



4th-5th Grade Sunday School:

Serve with Joy

Lesson: Phil. 2:14-18

  • What might be some consequences of a believer talking and acting like the world?

Verse: Phil. 2:17

Theme: God blesses us with joy as we surrender to Him. 

Application: Paul gave the Philippians a message about serving God sacrificially. He used his own life as an example. Help your child understand that the Christian life involves sacrifice. 



1st-3rd Grade Children's Church:

David’s Kindness and Sin

Lesson: 2 Samuel 9; 11:1-12:25

Theme: God wants us to treat others kindly.

  • How did David show kindness in your story today?

Verse: 2 Samuel 7:22a

  • Create a verse hunt with the verse. Write 1-2 words on a card and hide them around the house. Once all cards have been found, put the verse in the correct order.
