Toddlers:

Building God’s House

Lesson: 1 Kings 6:1-9; 2 Chronicles 3:1-5:1

  • Who gave Solomon the plans to build God’s house? (King David)

Verse: “Let us go to the house of the Lord” (Psalm 122:1)

  • Write the verse on a paper, grab a flashlight, turn off the lights and read the verse by flashlight. 



PreK/Kindergarten:

God Encouraged His People

Lesson: Esther 3; 4

  • What trouble did Esther and Mordecai face?

Verse: “God is… a very present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1)

  • Write the verse on a paper, grab a flashlight, turn off the lights and read the verse by flashlight. 



1st Grade Sunday School:

Lionlike Courage

Lesson: Daniel 6

  • What is something new you learned about Daniel and the lion's den?

Application: Help your child understand it is important to always obey God, no matter the cost. 



2nd-3rd Grade Sunday School:

Jesus Surrendered to God’s Will 

Lesson: Luke 22:39 - 23:56

  • How do you think Jesus felt about being falsely accused and nailed to a cross?

Verse: 1 Peter 3:18

Theme: Jesus willingly died for the sins of the world. 

Application: This week’s lesson covered Jesus’ arrest, trials, and crucifixion. Though Jesus had all the power He needed to avoid the cross, He surrendered to the Father’s will. Help your child understand that Jesus bore the penalty for their sin. 



4th-5th Grade Sunday School:

Money Wise

Lesson: Acts 2:40-47; 2 Cor. 8:1-9; 9:7, 8, 15

  • How did the generous church members affect the unbelievers who witnessed their generosity?

Verse: 2 Cor. 8::9

Theme: God expects us to manage His money to further His mission. 

Application: This week’s lesson covered the stewardship of money in the context of the early church. Help your child and their awareness that their money belongs to God. 



1st-3rd Grade Children's Church:

Solomon Builds the Temple

Lesson: 1 Kings 5-8

Theme: God is worthy of our sacrifice and praise. 

  • How does God want you to worship?

  • In what way can you be a “living sacrifice” to God?

Verse: 1 Kings 8:60

  • Create a word card scramble. Write out the verse on notecards (1-2 words per card) and scramble the cards up. Have the kids help you put the verse in correct order
