Lesson: Acts 12:1-6

  • Clap the verse together as you say each syllable. 


Pre-K/Kindergarten:

God Directs His Missionaries

Lesson: Acts 8:4-8, 12, 26-40

  • God wants you to be ready to obey Him. The first step is asking Jesus to be your Savior. Is this something you’re interested in? 

Verse: “Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, Rise and go” (Acts 8:26)

  • Write the verse on notecards (one word per notecard) and have your child(ren) put them in correct order. 


1st Grade Sunday School:

The Gospel Spread

Lesson: Acts 8:4-8, 26-40

  • What opportunities do you have to follow God?

Verse: Romans 8:14

  • Write the verse on notecards (one word per notecard) and have your child(ren) put them in correct order. 

Application: Help your child pray for God to show him or her ways to serve Him. 


2nd/3rd Grade Sunday School:

  • Have you believed in Jesus and had all your sins forgiven?

Theme: God wants all people to be saved. 

Application: This week’s lesson covered God’s message to Peter about the Gospel. Help your child understand the need to witness to people of all ethnicities. 


4th/5th Grade Sunday School:

Christ Returns for His Church

Lesson: 1 Thess. 4:13-18

  • What would you like your first conversation with Jesus to be about?

Verse: 1 Thess. 4:16, 17

Theme: Christ will return to take His church to Heaven. 

Application: Christ will return for His church at the Rapture. Help your child believe that Jesus will resurrect believers to eternal life. 


1st-3rd Grade Children's Church:

The Fall of Israel 

Lesson: 2 Kings 17

Theme: God takes rebellion against Him seriously. 

  • How do you think God felt about Israel’s stubborn hearts?

Verse: 2 Chronicles 36:15

  • Activity: Call out commands for your child to follow as they say the verse. Suggestions: Whisper as you say the verse, clap your hands as you say the verse, stand on one leg.
