 Toddlers:

God Answered Prayers for Peter

Lesson: Acts 12:5-17

  • Why was Peter in prison? (The king did not want him to tell people about Jesus)

  • What happened to Peter in prison? (An angel appeared and they walked out of prison together)

Verse: “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

  • Activity: Call out commands for your child to follow as they say the verse. Suggestions: Whisper as you say the verse, clap your hands as you say the verse, stand on one leg. 


Pre-K/Kindergarten:

God Calls His Missionaries

Lesson: Acts 9:1-19

  • What does it mean to be a missionary?

Verse: “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation” (Mark 16:15)

1st Grade Sunday School:

The Gospel Spread Further

Lesson: Acts 4:36, 37; 9:1-31; 13:1-3; 14:8-20

  • Who can you share the Gospel with?

Verse: Romans 1:16a

Application: Help your child understand the importance of sharing the gospel. 


2nd/3rd Grade Sunday School:

The Gospel Went Global

Lesson: Acts 13:1-5; 14:19, 20; 15:36-16:40

  • When has following God’s leading brought you great joy?

Verse: Acts 13:2

Theme: God directs us to people He wants us to reach. 

Application: This week covered God’s call of Paul and Silas to missionary service and specifically to Macedonia. Help your child look for ways to witness and minister to people he or she meets.


4th/5th Grade Sunday School:

Christ Rewards His Church

Lesson: 1 Cor. 9:25; 2 Cor. 5:9, 10; 1 Thess. 2:19; 

2 Tim. 4:6-8; James 1:12; 1 Pet. 5:2-4; Rev. 4

  • What might be some clues that you are serving God for our own glory instead of Christ’s glory? 

Verse: 2 Corinthians 5:10

Theme: Christ will reward believers for their faithful service to Him. 

Application: Jesus will examine our service for Him and reward us with crowns for the works we did in His strength and for His glory. Help your child be motivated to serve God by the prospect of crowns in Heaven.  


1st-3rd Grade Children's Church:

Kings Joash and Hezekiah

Lesson: 2 Chronicles 23; 24; 29-32

Theme: God honors those who obey Him.

  • What are some commands God has told you to obey?

Verse: 2 Chronicles 36:15

  • Create a picture to represent the verse. Write the verse under the picture. Recite the verse daily.
