Bible Texts: Revelation 1, 21, 22. Memory Verse: Revelation 21:5.
Today we discussed a question that many of us have probably wondered. We know Jesus paid the price for sin, and we know God loves us, but how can we face our messed-up world today? We learned that God gives us incredible hope for the future, and His Spirit gives us help for today!
Question: When will God fix our world for good?
Takeaway: God will one day make all things new. Live with hope!
Family Fun
Gather goodies and card-making materials (e.g., card stock or construction paper, scissors, glue sticks, markers) and a nice gift bag or box.
As a family, think of someone who could use some hope. Make a hope bag or box to show Jesus’ love. Take it to the person at a good time. Pray with the person and thank God that He loves us even in this broken world, and for the sure hope that one day He will make all things new.
Discovering Hope
- God gave John, one of Jesus’ special followers, a sneak peek into how He’s going to fix our broken world.
- One day God will create a perfect new heaven and new earth.
- The new heaven and new earth will be more wonderful than the Garden of Eden.
- Even now, God’s Spirit is with His children to guide, comfort, and help them!
