 Toddlers:

A Healed Man Praised God

Lesson: Acts 3:1-11

  • What did the man do after Peter said ‘in the name of Jesus, stand up and walk’? (He jumped with joy)

Verse: “I will give thanks to the Lord” (Psalm 111:1)

  • Write the verse out on a paper, say it together. Slowly cover up words of the verse, continue saying the verse until the verse is known by the child(ren). 


Pre-K/Kindergarten:

The Church’s Prayer

Lesson: Acts 4:1-31; 5:12, 17-42

  • How can you tell others about Jesus with boldness?

Verse: “And when they had prayed … they … continued to speak the word of God with boldness.” (Acts 4:31)

  • Write the verse out on a paper, say it together. Slowly cover up words of the verse, continue saying the verse until the verse is known by the child(ren). 


1st Grade Sunday School:

The Apostles’ Joy

Lesson: Acts 5:29-42

  • How can you serve God with gladness?

Verse: Psalm 100:2

  • Create motions for the verse and practice together. 

Application: Talk with your child serve with joy, even when the task is not enjoyable. 


2nd/3rd Grade Sunday School:

The Church Endured Persecution

Lesson: Acts 5:17-8:4

  • How should believers respond to threats of persecution? Stop being a Christian? Hide their faith?

Verse: Philippians 1:29

Theme: God’s servants sometimes experience rejection and persecution. 

Application: This lesson covered the arrest and beating of the apostles and the stoning of Stephen. Help your child pray for believers who are being persecuted. 


4th/5th Grade Sunday School:

The Church’s Ordinances

Lesson: Matt. 26:26-28; 28:19, 20; 1 Cor. 11:23-32

  • Why is baptism important? Is baptism something you are interested in?

Verse: 1 Corinthians 11:26

Theme: Christ instituted baptism and communion as ways to remember Him. 

Application: The church’s two ordinances are baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Help your child understand the purpose and importance of baptism and being baptized. 


1st-3rd Grade Children's Church:

God Delivers Israel from Syria

Lesson: 2 Kings 6:8-7:20 

Theme: God’s power is the greatest by far. 

  • Why was Elisha not afraid?

Verse: 1 Kings 18:37

  • Recite the verse with little to no help.
