Promise - The Promise of a Savior
2 Samuel 7:1-17
16 Your house and your kingdom
shall endure before Me forever; your throne shall be established forever.
So much of the promise involves kingdom talk, which is why during the New Testament time and Roman occupation, many people in the Gospels were looking forward to the Messiah and had a very different idea of who that Messiah is.
Jesus, the Messiah came to seek and to save the lost. The issue is people had a very different idea of what they needed to be saved from.
