Here are some Theology Matters notes on the Holy Spirit for families to use during family devotional times.
The Holy Spirit is part of the Big Theology for Little Hearts.
The series provides definitions and illustrations "to help young minds gain a foundational understanding of God's Word."
Words in the book are triune, regeneration, Pentecost, indwelling, conviction, sanctification, gifts of the Spirit, Fruit of the Spirit, guide, and perseverance.

In the 1st - 5th grade, we are using prayer dice. Now before anyone jumps to conclusions, this is a way to help families during prayer times.
Dice #1 has the following words: Request; Praise; Sing; Tell; Recite; Recall/
Dice #2 has the following words: God's Power; God's Care; God's Provision' God's Love; God's Trustworthiness; God's Word.
The dice are rolled.
The two phrases are used to pray. For example,
- Request & God's Provision - Pray for a need someone else has or make a prayer request of his own.
- Praise and God's Word - Pray God for His Word.
- Sing and God's Love - Sing a song about God's love
- Tell and God's Worthiness - Tell a fact about God's trustworthiness
- Recite and God's Care - Recite a verse or part of a verse about God's care.
- Recall and God's love - Recall an example of God's love, either in a Bible account or in his/her own life
