RESURRECTION QUESTIONS

  1. Do you remember one item from the resurrection eggs or one detail from the Resurrection Story? Why is it important, or what does it mean?
  2. What do you think are the BIG TRUTHS TO REMEMBER ON EASTER?
    • Jesus died.  He didn’t deserve to die, but he died in our place, for our sin.
    • Jesus rose from the dead.  Jesus’ resurrection was different than other resurrections in the Bible (Lazarus in the NT, the widow’s son in the OT) because Jesus died once.  These other people died again.
    • Jesus' death and resurrection were necessary for my relationship with Jesus Christ.
MEMORY VERSES REMINDERS:
This week's memory verses (Ephesians 2:4-5) are also this week's Fighter Verses - www.fighterverses.com
In class, we looked at the context of last week's Fighter Verses (Ephesians 2:1 - 3).

A specific idea we talked about was if you apologize and say "I am sorry, but you...," the "but you..." negates the apology.
A similar thing happens in these five verses.
You were dead.
You once walked in the ways of this world.
You lived in the flesh.
You were children of disobedience.
BUT GOD...
who is rich in mercy
loved us when we were dead
made us alive
saved us.

PRAISE THE LORD HE IS RISEN!
Praise the Lord that in Him we have life.
