Also, remember, some of the MOST IMPORTANT worship times will not be planned (informal).
This past Sunday in our parenting class, we talked about Family Worship.
One of the big ideas is that gathering your family together to read scripture and pray is part of family worship.
Here is a good way to think about family worship...

Family Worship in Your House
- Informal
- God's Word is to be our constant subject of conversation.
- It is not easy to keep God's Word as our constant subject of conversation, so we need reminders.
- If God's Word is to be our constant subject of conversation, we need to be available so that we can have those conversations.
- Formal
- Three parts
- Read
- Pray
- Sing
- Family Worship requires our own radical changes.
- Teaching our children God's Word to train our children to have hearts that long for awe-inspired service toward God is only truly done when we simply pass on what is already overflowing in our hearts.
The Formal times help the Informal times.
Family Worship in the Church House
- Remember, parents are the primary disciple-makers in the children's lives
- The church helps parents fulfill their disciple-making role.
