Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of mankind was great on the earth and that every intent of the thoughts of their hearts was only evil continually.

The Christmas Story: God meets the rebellion of sin with the only thing that has the power to defeat it; the birth of his Son.
Today's Bible reading, Gen 3:1-13, is the account of man's first rebellious response.

Problem - The Need for a Savior
So, what is the
problem with Christmas? You are. I am. We are. Our sin
is the problem. Christmas is not a testament to the goodness of mankind
but rather a commentary on our human condition and a proclamation of God’s
grace. The first six Advent readings show us our need for the Christ of
Christmas.
