Jesus in the Temple

Baptism was also discussed. Talk about the importance of baptism as believers. (We should not be baptized unless we believe Jesus died for our sin, was buried, and rose again for us. Baptism is the first way we show our obedience after we have trusted Jesus as Savior)

Israel Finally Fell

How were the wicked Assyrians able to conquer Israel? Were they stronger than God?
Verse: 1 Corinthians 10:12
Theme: God warns us about the seriousness of sin.
Application: This week covered the fall of Israel. God warned them about their sin, but Israel rejected the warnings. So God allowed Assyria to take Israel captive. Help your child understand he or she needs God’s help in resisting temptation.
The Word Cares for His Flock
Lesson: John 9; 10
How can I hear Jesus, my good shepherd?
Verse: John 10:11
Theme: The Word cares for us like a good shepherd cares for sheep.
Application: Jesus presented himself as the Good Shepherd. He compared Himself to the Pharisees to show His sacrificial love for His sheep. Help your child see Jesus’ direction in his/her life from His Word.

Theme: God wants us to desire to please Him about all else.
What are some things you can do to please God?
