Lesson: 2 Chronicles 22-24
Why did Jehoiada the priest give Joash a copy of God’s Word (“the testimony”)?

Theme: God desires our lifelong devotion.
Application: This week’s lesson covered the rise and fall of King Joash of Judah. Jehoiada anointed Joash king and then led him in making godly reforms in Judah. Help your child seek to learn God’s Word to strengthen his or her devotion to God.
The Word Satisfies Hunger
Lesson: John 5; 6
Why did Jesus say we need to eat His flesh?
Verse: John 6:51
Theme: The Word provides for our greatest needs.
Application: Jesus fed the 5,000 and His subsequent claim to be the Bread of Life. As such, He is the only answer for sin. God saves all those who put their faith in Jesus’ death as the payment for their sins. Help your child understand (s)he doesn’t need to do anything to earn God’s grace for salvation.

Theme: God values our willingness to serve Him.
