Toddlers:

God Gave Israel Meat

Lesson: Exodus 16:12, 13

  • We use meat for good food to eat. How did God provide meat to Israel?

Verse: “God is great” (Job 36:26)

  • God takes such good care of us! What are some ways God takes care of us? (Moms & Dads, food)


Pre-K/K:

King Saul’s Life

Lesson: 1 Samuel 15:1-29

  • What did King Saul not destroy? (King Agag and the best sheep)

  • How well did Saul obey God? (Not well. He obeyed some, but not all the way)

  • Was God pleased with King Saul? (No) Why? (God wants obedience first. He wants us to do what He tells us to)

Verse: “Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice” (1 Samuel 15:22)

  • Activity: Call out commands for your child to follow as they say the verse. Suggestions: Whisper as you say the verse, clap your hands as you say the verse, stand on one leg.


1st Grade Sunday School:

Jesus Solved a Big Problem

Lesson: Mark 8:1-9

  • How did Jesus show that He not only loves us but cares about our daily needs?

Verse: Philippians 4:19

  • How will Jesus supply our needs?


2nd-3rd Grade Sunday School:

God Protected David 

Lesson: 1 Samuel 18; 19

  • What was God’s clear message to Saul?

Verse: Psalm 56:3, 4

Theme: God completes His will no matter His opposition.  

Application: Saul hated David and thought he could change God’s plans. But no one can stop God’s plans, especially His plan of salvation. Help your child with their confidence in the permanence of their salvation. 


4th-5th Grade Sunday School:

Where Wisdom Begins 

Lesson: Various Proverbs

  • Have you ever thought living for God would cause you to miss out on all the fun in life? Explain. 

Verse: Proverbs 1:7

Theme: God gives us direction in life as we learn to fear Him. 

Application: To fear God is to respect Him and to believe He is and does all He claims. Your child was encouraged to respect God and to live according to His wisdom. Help your child spend time in God’s Word to increase their fear of God. 


1st-3rd Grade Children's Church:

Crossing the Jordan

Lesson: Joshua 3; 4

  • What did God want the Israelites to remember each time they saw the memorial of stones?

  • What did you learn about following God from this Bible account?

Verse: Joshua 1:8, 9

  • How did God demonstrate His presence with Joshua and Israel?

  • Do you think this helped Joshua be strong and courageous?
