Toddlers:

Jesus Made a Boy Well

Lesson: John 4:46-54

  • Who made the boy well? (Jesus)

  • Why can Jesus do wonderful things? (Jesus is God’s Son)

Verse: “[Nothing is too hard for [God]” (Jeremiah 32:17)

  • Create motions for the verse and practice together.


Pre-K/Kindergarten:

Jesus Raised the Dead

Lesson: Mark 5:21-43

  • How could Jesus make the girl alive again? (Jesus is the Son of God)

  • What does He have power to do? (Heal and give life back to the dead)

Verse: “Jesus said…, I am the resurrection, and the life” (John 11:25)

  • Create motions for the verse and practice together.


1st Grade SS:

David’s Giant Faith

Lesson: 1 Samuel 16:1-13; 17

  • How did God use David in today’s lesson?

Verse: 1 Samuel 16:7

  • Create motions for the verse and practice together. 

Application: Help your child use his or her God-given abilities to serve Him. 


2nd/3rd Grade SS:

Judah’s Light Dimmed

Lesson: 2 Kings 22-25; 2 Chronicles 36

  • What did the king of Babylon order his men to do to Zedekiah?

Verse: Psalm 32:10

Theme: God shows compassion to the humble. 

Application: The week’s lesson covered Josiah’s reign to the end of the kingdom of Judah. When Josiah heard the newly found Word of God read, he humbled himself before God. Help your child gladly serve others. 


4th/5th Grade SS:

The Word Serves

Lesson: John 13; 14

  • Why is foot washing not practiced in churches today?

Verse: John 13:34, 35

Theme: The Word shows us how to serve one another. 

Application: Jesus humbly wasted the feet of His disciples. He taught them to love each other by humbly serving each other. He promised to send them the Holy Spirit to help them be faithful. Help your child realize the blessings that come from serving others with humility.

1st-3rd Grade CC:

Ruth’s Devotion and Redemption

Lesson: Ruth

Theme: God faithfully provides for us. 

  • What are some ways you have seen God’s provisions for us?

Verse: 1 Samuel 2:2

  • Write the verse on a notecard and hang somewhere visible to practice together daily.
