 Toddlers:

Peter Preached about Jesus

Lesson: Acts 2:14-40; 5:40-42

  • What does Jesus want His helpers to tell others? (He loves them)

Verse: “Serve the living God” (Hebrews 9:14)

  • Create motions for the verse and practice together. 


Pre-K/Kindergarten:

The Church’s People

Lesson: Acts 2:37-47

  • How was the first church a lot like our church here today?

Verse: “All who believed were together.” (Acts 2:44)

  • Create motions for the verse and practice together. 


1st Grade Sunday School:

A Church Is Born

Lesson: Acts 2:14-47

  • What are some ways you can serve God in our church?

Verse: Acts 2:44a, 47b

  • Create motions for the verse and practice together. 

Application: Help your child believe he or she can serve at church, even at a young age.  


2nd/3rd Grade Sunday School:

The Church Prayed for Boldness

Lesson: Acts 3:31-4:31

  • When has the Holy Spirit given you boldness to obey God?

Verse: Ephesians 6:19

Theme: The Holy Spirit gives us boldness to serve God courageously. 

Application: This lesson covered Peter and John’s boldness as they depended on the Holy Spirit in the face of threats. Help your child pray with boldness.


4th/5th Grade Sunday School:

The Church’s Head and Body

Lesson: Matt. 16:13-18; Eph. 5:23-25; 

Heb. 10: 24, 25

  • How should knowing that Christ is the Head of our church affect the way you view our church? 

Verse: Colossians 1:18

Theme: Christ oversees the church and causes it to grow.  

Application: Jesus’ death on the cross showed His deep love for His church. Help your child listen to the pastor’s message for Christ’s direction for him or her. 


1st-3rd Grade Children's Church:

Elijah on Mount Carmel

Lesson: 1 Kings 18:1-19:18

Theme: God wants us to rely on Him. 

  • How did Elijah show his reliance upon God?

Verse: 1 Kings 18:37

  • Create a verse hunt with the verse. Write 1-2 words on a card and hide them around the house. Once all cards have been found, put the verse in the correct order.
