Toddlers:

Sharing God’s Word in His House

Lesson: 2 Kings 22:8-23:3

  • What was found in God’s House? (a scroll)

  • What did King Josiah tell everyone to do? (come to God’s House and listen to the scrolls being read.)

Verse: “Listen to the words of the Lord” (Joshua 3:9)

  • Activity: Call out commands for your child to follow as they say the verse. Suggestions: Whisper as you say the verse, clap your hands as you say the verse, stand on one leg. 



PreK/Kindergarten:

God Protected His People

Lesson: Esther 7-10

  • Sing ‘God Is So Good’ together. 

  • How did God protect His people?

Verse: “The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it” (Proverbs 21:1)

1st Grade Sunday School:

Jerusalem Makeover

Lesson: Nehemiah 1:1-6:16

  • Whom did Nehemiah ultimately trust?

Verse: 1 John 1:9a

  • Activity: Call out commands for your child to follow as they say the verse. Suggestions: Whisper as you say the verse, clap your hands as you say the verse, stand on one leg. 

Application: Help your child recognize the importance of seeking God’s forgiveness when he or she sins. 



2nd-3rd Grade Sunday School:

Jesus Commissioned His Followers

Lesson: Matt. 28:16-20; Luke 24:45-53

  • How do you think God might use you now and in the future to carry out His ongoing mission on earth?

Verse: Matt. 28:18, 19

Theme: Jesus commanded us to tell others about new life in Christ. 

Application: This week’s lesson covered the Great Commission and Jesus’ ascension into Heaven. Jesus stated that the Father gave Him all authority and He then commanded His followers to make disciples of all nations. Help your child prepare to share their testimony.



4th-5th Grade Sunday School:

Talent Wise

Lesson: 1 Cor. 10:31; Col. 3:23, 24; James 1:17; 

1 Peter 5:6

  • What does it mean to glorify God?

  • How can you use your talents to glorify God?

Verse: Col. 3:23, 24

Theme: God blessed us with talents for glorifying His name. 

Application: This week’s lesson covered our stewardship of the talents God gives to us to use for His glory. Help your child identify some of their talents and how to use them for God’s glory. 



1st-3rd Grade Children's Church:

The Kingdom Divides

Lesson: 1 Kings 11:26-13:10

Theme: God expects us to recognize His sovereignty. 

  • What does sovereignty mean?

Verse: 1 Kings 8:60

  • Say the verse to an adult with little to no help.
